In this full-length documentary film, we follow the stories of figures chosen at random whose paths cross in one Prague café from October 1998 to January 2000. The mosaic of their views, from street-sweeper to philosopher, creates a kaleidoscope of the passing year ‘under the impression of moments and events’. Every person, even the most apparently ordinary, is in some way unique and is the creator of ordinary days and holidays. What, however, is ordinary and what stands out? What fascinates us in the history of time? In the calendars of the Jews, the Muslims, the Hindus, the Japanese and the Chinese, the years 2000 and 2001 are in no way unusual.
