According to statistics from the year 1991 two thirds of the population of Czechoslovakia do not agree with the asylum provided for refugees from other countries. V. Kvasnicka's film attempts to break down the barriers and show the refugees who are seeking asylum in new Czechoslovakia not as aliens but as human beings who have found themselves in need of help.
